2013 NCTS Workshop on Numerical Linear Algebra and High Performance Computing (2013 NLA-HPC)

December 9-12, 2013

Aims and Scopes
Numerical linear algebra is at the heart of various scientific, engineering, social, and industrial discoveries and achievements. Latest high performance computers have also demonstrated their significances and promising potential in scientific and engineering computing. The 2013 NCTS Workshop on Numerical Linear Algebra and High Performance Computing focuses on researches, developments, and interactions of these two essential disciplines. The workshop also emphasizes numerical linear algebra application problem reformations and algorithm redesigns for efficient usages of high performance computers. The workshop brings researchers from academia, laboratories, and industry to discuss the latest results and contemporary challenges. To promote innovations and breakthroughs in these exciting fields, the main themes of the workshop range from theoretical studies, algorithmic designs, to code implementations of related topics. This workshop is a joint effort with CAM-ICCM to promote applied mathematics.
