This international conference is aimed at promoting the interactions between analysis, applied mathematicians, and scientists from other disciplines doing interdisciplinary research in mathematical analysis and applied mathematics, including partial differential equations, dynamical systems, inverse problems, fluid dynamics, mathematical biology, scientific computing, etc. We aim at including broad, diverse topics, and bringing together researchers from different backgrounds to foster interdisciplinary research, as well as encourage the participants to learn and exchange ideas in a friendly atmosphere. |

Banquet: On the evening of the first day of the conference, Monday May 11, 6:30 pm, there will be a special banquet in honor of Professor Sze-Bi Hsu on the occasion of his sixtieth birthday. Professor Hsu has dedicated all his career to interdisciplinary research, with particular admirable contributions to mathematical biology and dynamical systems. Many of the conference invitees and participants are directly or indirectly related to him as colleagues, collaborations, friends, teachers, students, etc. He has contributed to Taiwan's math community in many significant ways. |

Practical
information ¡P Visa: Most visitors could get landing visa or visa exemption for 30 days. For general information, see visa-info. Speakers who hold the People's Republic of China passport are requested to send their personal data (including tel number, fax number, mailing address, e- mail address and research field etc.) to secretary Wendy Huang by email at wendy@math.cts.nthu.edu.tw. It normally takes around two/three months to process the applications of Taiwanese entrance visa for applicants from the Mainland China. ¡P Offices: (Shared) offices will be provided to all invited speakers, with computers Windows XP. ¡P Tourism: The link to Tourism Bureau contains maps, travel tips, attractions, etc... . |
