        I was born in Tokyo, and grew up in Tokyo. After receiving a master degree in mathematics from University of Tokyo, I moved to Nagoya University as a research associate in 1981. I visited Courant Institute University of Maryland and University of Minnesota and officially received Doctor of Science in 1985 from University of Tokyo. Then I moved to Hokkaido University and become a full professor in 1992. My research specialties are Partial Differential Equations especially Diffusion Equations. I am currently serving as editors for at least eight journals including Mathematische Annalon, SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis.
