  This conference aims at two themes. The first is on Galois representations. In the last two decades there have been            enormous progress and successes in this theory. A main focus in this area will be modularity and Galois representations. On the second theme of function field arithmetic, a wider range will be probed. Besides Galois representations related to function fields, there will also be reports about recent developments on such topics as motivic transcendence theory and Diophantine geometry.

·        Accommodation: Please inform secretary Wendy Huang by email at wendy@math.cts.nthu.edu.tw the number of  family accompanied at your earliest convenience.  ·        Airport pickup: We will arrange taxis/limousines between CKS airport and NCTS. It is therefore important to give us your arrival/departure times and flight numbers by e-mail at Wendy Huang as soon as they are available. ·        Title and Abstract: Please submit your title and abstract to secretary Vickey Sun at sunug@math.cts.nthu.edu.tw  when they are ready.  ·        Visa: Most visitors could get landing visa or visa exemption for 30 days. Speakers who hold the People's Republic of China passport are requested to send their personal data (including tel number, fax number, mailing address, e- mail address and research field etc.) to secretary Wendy Huang by email at wendy@math.cts.nthu.edu.tw .
